If you are wondering what Jennifer does in her spare time, it probably involves a book. If she is not reading a book, she is probably cooking a recipe from a book, thinking about a book she just read, or recommending a book to someone. As a child, she read all the Nancy Drew mysteries, the entire Hardy Boys series, every Beverly Cleary book including her teen ones, Bobbsey Twins, Happy Hollisters, and many, many, many other books. Some of her all-time favorites are Homer Price by Robert McCloskey, the Betsy, Tacy, and Tib series by Maud Hart Lovelace, and anything written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Today she reads a variety of books appropriate for children of all ages. She especially loves realistic fiction, historical fiction, graphic novels, nonfiction, and new authors for children.
If you are looking for the next great picture book or a great beginning chapter book or a chapter book (fiction or nonfiction) to read during the next big blizzard, ask Jennifer for her recommendations.
