Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library Progress

On March 3 Tim Hagen, Ida Rupp Public Library director; Lauren Lemmon, Fiscal Officer; and Ida Rupp Public Library board members met with Peter Bolek, Lead Architect and Stephanie Shook, Interior Designer of Cleveland-based architectural firm HBM: Holzheimer, Bolek, and Meehan.

The meeting involved an overview of the site plan, interior plans, and proposed interior finishes including color palette options. The plans, as of right now, include a meeting room that can be separated into two smaller rooms, a children’s area that includes a family restroom, a teen area, a quiet room with comfortable seating, a computer area, and more to be finalized at future meetings.

Once design plans are finalized, discussions about bidding and construction plans will start. We are excited to see the vision of the Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library come alive and we hope you are as well.
