Birdwatching kit at Ida Rupp 🐦
The Biggest Week in Birding is coming up starting on May 3. If you're new to birding and want to try it out, stop into Ida Rupp and pick up our birding kit! It has everything you need to try birding in our area before you commit to buying any expensive equipment.
Everything is in a backpack meant to withstand the outdoors. Inside you'll find a pair of binoculars in a case. Next are laminated trail maps of different areas around Port Clinton that are popular with birders. Finally, a copy of Ken Kaufman's Field Guide to Birds of North America to help you identify the birds you come across.
The kit can be checked out on an adult card for 1 week and is nonrenewable.
While you're in the library, pick up a copy of Black Swamp Bird Observatory's 2024 Visitor's Guide! Copies are available in our 3rd Street hallway.
