Meet the Staff - March 2023

Each month, we will be highlighting different members of our staff so you can get to know us. This month, we'll introduce you to Jamie and Patty, who are both at Ida Rupp. Jamie is our new Circulation Supervisor, she started out as a clerk with us. Patty is one of our newer Clerks. You can find both of them at our circulation desk, ready to help and discuss what you're reading.

I really enjoy talking to the patrons about what they're reading and watching; it's great getting new recommendations. I love seeing the children get excited about checking out and returning books and story time. When I'm not at work, I like going on nature walks and kayaking.

Favorite TV Show: Northern Exposure, if there are any other NX fans out there, stop by the circulation desk and let me know!

I love listening to music of all genres. Anything from Sinatra to Metallica. The Danish band Volbeat is who I've been listening to most.

Patrick McGrath is my best-loved author. Asylum and Spider are my two favorite novels of his.

I have lived all over the country (7 states) and this is my third location in Ohio. We love living in Lakeside: watching the sunrises/sunsets, walking along the lake, pickleball & tennis, kayaking and all of the concerts. I started coming to the Port Clinton library for their great yoga classes. And now I'm working at the circulation desk! I love helping our patrons and working with all the books! I also love to read and am currently reading Lessons in Chemistry, The Myth of Normal, and The Message Bible. Don't be surprised if you see me at a local restaurant - my husband and I really like eating good food, especially with friends! :)
